Private Equity and Capital Venture (CV) Funds Conference

On Friday 31^th of May, 2019, the Private Equity and Capital Venture (CV) Funds Conference concerning technological startups from a legal perspective took place at the Hungarian BAR Association, in Budapest, Hungary.

The conference was organized by IURISGAL International Network of Law Firms, and particularly the Hungarian partner, Hubbes & Kovács Law Firm, and Budapest BAR Association. During the conference several speakers presented the Hungarian investment and CV funds industry, among them were: Sára Holly, Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency; Dénes Szluha, investment director at Hiventures Venture Capital Fund Management; Elemér Esyter, Presidente at Hungarian Venture Capital Association; Levente Zsembery, CEO at X-VENTURES Venture Fund Management.

In addition, some IURISGAL members also spoke presenting their corresponding jurisdictions and markets features. Following the order of speakers, there were four law firms speaking: 1) China, A&Z Law Firm with Mireia Paulo, Director of the European-American Market and Overseas Investment Projects;  2) U.K., Mayo Wynne Baxter with Carmen Calvo, Partner; 3) U.S., Fletcher, Heald & Hildreth with Francisco Montero, Senior Partner; and 4) Finland, Hedman Partners Attorneys with Jyrki Mustonen, partner.

The aim was to exchange perspectives and approach views advanced by different experts working in the legal field, as well as business and investment experts working on the fund investment industry and technology start-ups.
