IURISGAL Annual Meeting in Lisbon
Ms. Mireia Paulo, Senior Consultant at A&Z Law Firm, had the pleasure of attending the annual meeting of the international law firm network IURISGAL. The gathering of representatives of law firms from all over the world, took place from September 22 to 24 in Lisbon, Portugal.
IURISGAL is the first and only global network of independent law firms whose official languages include Spanish and Portuguese. Actively present on 5 continents, IURISGAL has 57 member law firms in 52 countries, with more than 1,000 lawyers. Through this extensive network, A&Z can offer our clients the assurance of receiving quality services globally, whenever they may need them.
This year, the event was organized by RFF Advogados in partnership with Mr. Blas Rivas Alejandro, head of the IURISGAL Association, and Dr. Gustavo Santos, member of IURISGAL, Brazil. Representatives from 27 law firms gathered from countries such as the U.S., Panama, Norway, France, Spain, Italy, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, Poland, Morocco, Qatar and South Korea.
During the annual meeting, several activities were carried out, including visits to the Supreme Court of Justice of Portugal, the Constitutional Court and the Portuguese Bar Association, with a welcome and presentation by its President, Prof. Dr. Luís Menezes Leitão.

In addition, IURISGAL members visited the Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, where the President and Secretary-General of CCIP, Dr. João Pedro Guimarães, and the Secretary-General of the Commercial Arbitration Center, Dr. José Castro e Solla delivered two presentations.

This meeting aimed to share professional experiences and expand the international network of Spanish and Portuguese speaking law firms.
