Ms. Mireia Paulo was appointed as SHIAC’s arbitrator
We are very honored to announce that Ms. Mireia Aina Paulo Noguera, Senior Counsel at A&Z Law Firm, has been appointed as arbitrator of the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center) recently. The term of her office will be from August 1, 2021 to April 30, 2026. Her areas of expertise as arbitrator include Corporate Law, M&A, International Trade, Commercial Arbitration, ADR and EU Law (Spain). With her appointment as arbitrator, Ms. Mireia Paulo will provide fair and efficient dispute resolution services to the parties of international arbitration disputes at Düsseldorf, Germany and Shanghai, China, which are her main working places.
Ms. Mireia Paulo has a rich experience in international investment, as well as trade and dispute resolution. She has ample work experience in UNHCR, European Commission and several multinational corporations and non-profit organizations. She joined A&Z Law Firm in July 2015 and has since successively served as Business Development Manager, then Director of European and American desks and overseas investment projects, and now as Senior Counsel at A&Z Law Firm. During her work years at A&Z, Ms. Mireia Paulo combined her experience in international organizations, multinational corporations and non-profit organizations with China's legal practice expertise, and provided clients with many effective solutions in the areas of Corporate Law, M&A, International Trade, Commercial Arbitration and ADR. At present, Ms. Mireia Paulo is also a researcher and lecturer in the Department of International Politics and Economy in East Asia at Ruhr University Bochum (RUB), Germany, providing strong support for A&Z law firm in the area of international politics and economy.

Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center, hereinafter referred to as “SHIAC”) is an independent arbitration institution established in 1988 according to the approval of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government and the registration of the competent judicial authority.
