A&Z proposes a solution to the possible force majeure

As members of the international law firm organization IURISGAL, Andrew Zhang, senior partner in A&Z law firm and Blas Rivas Alejandro, President of IURISGAL have accepted the interview of Cinco Días, a Spanish economic newspaper under El País Economía, jointly to propose a solution to the possible force majeure caused by the prevention and control of COVID-19, from the perspective of applicable law and court jurisdiction, and other possible legal risks faced by Spanish SMEs.

In the interview, two lawyers agree that because SMEs do not have independent legal departments, they often ignore the review of relevant provisions in the contract, and once they file a lawsuit based on the need for compensation, they may face the risk of litigation caused by unclear contract terms. In response, our lawyers made some suggestions on how to avoid such risks.
