About Speaker
Marant C. Gómez, Senior Advisor in the Latin Department of CW CPA.
Marant Caballero is a graduate of the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education (ITESM) in Guadalajara, Mexico, with a degree in International Relations. Furthermore, he has a certificate “Doing Business with China” granted jointly by the Fudan University in Shanghai and the ITESM. As part of CW CPA, he is in charge of attending various international clients, for example, the Spanish speaking market among others, in matters related to accounting and tax compliance in Hong Kong and Mainland China. Prior to joining CW CPA, he had worked at other large-sized Chinese companies in the city of Shenzhen for almost 4 years.
Andrew ZHANG, Senior Partner of A&Z Law Firm and Head of European-American and Overseas Investment Desks.
Andrew Zhang graduated from Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (Former name: Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade) with a major in International Economic Law in 2000. After then he worked in the Logistics Department of Shanghai Jinghong Group and Angela Luo & Co., Lawyers. He was admitted to Chinese Bar in 2007 and joined A&Z Law Firm in 2009. In 2011, he also obtained a Master’s Degree in Economic Law from East China University of Political Science and Law.
Mr. Zhang is mainly specialized in foreign investment in China, overseas investment transactions, M&A/corporate restructuring, international trade and logistics (including e-commerce), litigation/arbitration, etc. He has been providing legal services for many well-known multinational companies such as Kimberly-Clark, Visteon, HRS, DAMEN, Golden State Foods, CPIC, among others. He has undertaken important cases such as China Electronics Corporation acquiring the global mobile phone business of Royal Philips, and has assisted diverse multinational companies as Sumitomo, Kyowa Hakko Kirin, Daiichi-Sankyo, Valqua, NIHON DENGYO KOSAKU in their M&A and restructuring activities in China. Mr. Zhang has also been assisting Chinese companies on their investment projects in Hong Kong, Japan, United States, Spain, among other regions.
