On 13 May 2019, our Director of the European-American Market and Overseas Investment Projects, Ms. Mireia Paulo has attended the International Conference “EU-China 2020 Strategic Agenda for Cooperation”. This International Conference was organised by the College of Europe and EU research centre. In Partnership with the European Economic and Social Committee, and the support of the Belgian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce.
International guests with areas of expertise such as international relations, foreign and economic policy, Asian studies, in addition to representatives from business and politics discussed various question regarding the relationship between Europe and China. Many topics were highlighted during the conference such as economic interdependency, regulatory matters, cybersecurity, and connectivity strategy.
In the Conference, Ms. Paulo had the honour to share her views with Weiyi Xian (Minister Counsellor of the Chinese Mission to the EU), Viorel Isticioaia-Budura (Ambassador-at-Large for Asian Regional Affairs at the Romanian MFA) and George Cunningham (Strategic Adviser on Asia-Pacific Affairs at EEAS) in regards to the current EU-China relations and their future direction.
It has been our great honour to attend this Conference as it not only has enabled our A&Z team to participate in the development of EU-China relations but also will further enhance the structure and level of A&Z's international business.
