Promoting International Culture And Legal View Exchanges At A&Z

Between the 4th and 29th of July, A&Z held the “2016 Summer Trainee Scheme”. The programme granted four European interns from the University of Southampton, ESADE, and the School of Law University College Cork the opportunity to experience A&Z’s working culture and to learn from the Firm’s strategy.
The programme offered a combination of real-life experience in different practice areas as well as workshops and seminars dedicated to aiding the interns’ professional development. The programme was designed to increase their understanding of A&Z’s global business strategy and practice areas, and at the same time, to aid their development of key skills in areas such as negotiation and presentation.
Interns had the chance to experience China’s customs logistics and maritime commerce law, labour and social security law, and M&A and dispute resolution practices, while receiving guidance beneficial to the development of their future legal careers.
A&Z offered the best of both worlds: an international and cosmopolitan work environment, and the relaxed down to earth nature and friendliness of a close-knit office where the high quality work of the firm is only matched by its enthusiastic and dynamic atmosphere. An environment where interns can learn and develop themselves to the best of their abilities.
The programme also offered voluntary cultural activities giving the chance to learn more about and experience Chinese culture.
