A&Z Co-Organized A Forum On Scientific And Technological Innovation For Chinese And Japanese Companies Along The Yangtze River Delta

In lieu of the recent G20 Conference, countries around the world are looking for new opportunities in terms for economic development. In the afternoon of September 9th, 2016, the Forum on Scientific and Technological Innovation for Chinese and Japanese Companies along the Yangtze River Delta was held in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Xuhui Campus). The Forum was organized by the China-Japan Division of Shanghai’s Chinese Overseas Friendship Association, Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai Institute for National Economy of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and was also assisted by A&Z Law Firm.
The representatives from more than 10 cities along the Yangtze River Delta participated in the Forum, namely those from Suzhou’s Economic Development Zone included the Science and Technology Bureau of Wuxi, the Business Bureau of Wujin District in Changzhou, the Business Bureau and Science and Technology Bureau of Yiwu, the Bonded Zone of Ningbo, the Xiaoshan Economic Development Zone of Hangzhou, and the Management Committee of Medical City in Changshu.
Opening speeches were delivered by Wang Jianmin, Vice Chairman of the Shanghai Chinese Overseas Friendship Association, and Yu Yangming, Party Secretary of Antai College of Economics and Management of Shanghai Jiao Tong University. The Forum was hosted by Mo Bangfu, the famous Chinese economy analyst of Japan and Vice Chairman of the China-Japan Division of the Shanghai Chinese Overseas Friendship Association.
Wang enunciated that, since its establishment in December 2015, the China-Japan Division of the Shanghai Chinese Overseas Friendship Association has received much feedback from provincial governments in China, contributing to the possibility that the organization will study experiences of scientific innovation in Japan, bring in new technologies to China, and attracting investments from Japanese companies via means such as cooperation or mergers and acquisitions. Yu also pointed out that the aim of the Forum concerned the support of a large number of small and medium sized enterprises along the Yangtze River Delta through the meeting of requirements for scientific and technological innovation prerequisites in the New Normal of the Chinese economy.
Dong Zhengying, Vice Professor in Antai College of Economics and Management of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, specifically commented on the speeches given by the speakers. A&Z Law Firm, as legal consultant of many Chinese and Japanese companies, also participated in discussions of the Forum, as well as actively contributed to ensure the Forum’s success. A&Z regularly supported relations and communications between Chinese and Japanese entrepreneurs which earned A&Z a great deal of praise from Chinese and Japanese entrepreneurs who participated in the Forum.
