A&Z Law Firm in Action Against the Epidemic
In the face of the sudden rebound of the epidemic in Shanghai and the serious situation of prevention and control, A&Z Law Firm responded positively and mobilized all staff to take immediate action.
At present, the epidemic situation in Shanghai is still severe, and the leading cadres, medical personnel, epidemic prevention workers and volunteers on the front line of the fight against the epidemic are holding their posts and fighting day and night to carry out a tenacious struggle with COVID.
While supporting the epidemic prevention work, A&Z Law Firm learned that in the face of the increasing number of confirmed cases and asymptomatic infected persons, both medical aid agencies and community units are enduring enormous pressure to prevent the epidemic, facing a shortage of funds and materials.
A&Z Law Firm, together with Shanghai Fudan University Education Development Foundation, is now launching a fundraising campaign called "Guarding Magnolia - Supporting Shanghai against the Epidemic", calling on companies and people from all walks of life to contribute to the prevention and control of the epidemic in the city.
In addition, after finding out that the epidemic prevention personnel of Shanghai First Maternal and Infant Hospital (East Yard) were in urgent need of quilts and blankets, Sophie An, the Principal Partner of A&Z Law Firm, contacted a manufacturer and urgently purchased 100 quilts and 100 blankets, and arranged the logistics to have them delivered to the doctors of the hospital the next day, to meet the urgent needs.
In the name of firm, A&Z Law Firm donated 1,000 sets of protective clothing and 2,400 N95 masks to the Eye & ENT Hospital of Fudan University. Eric Zhang, Senior Partner of A&Z Law Firm and other representatives of the staff went to the hospital to deliver the epidemic prevention goods and materials to President Zhou Xingtao, expressing the willingness of A&Z Law Firm to fight the epidemic together.
After hearing about the lack of quilts and pillows in Yangpu Branch of the Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospital of Fudan University, partners of A&Z Law Firm acted again to find a manufacturer for delivery, and purchased 500 sets of quilts and pillows, and arranged to deliver the goods and materials in batches, transportation permitting. At present, all 500 sets of donated quilts and pillows have been successfully delivered to the hospital.
A&Z Law Firm will continue to actively pay attention to the community's fight against the epidemic, continue to use the firm's resources, and take the initiative to contact the front line of the epidemic, through material donations, legal services and other ways to support the front line to help fight the epidemic.
