[Overseas Investment] New Compliance Guide
Last year, we had the pleasure of announcing the publication of the compliance investment guide for investment in Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Singapore and Malaysia.
Presently, the new “Compliance Guide for Foreign Investment Cooperation (2022)” (FTA Special Issue) has been officially released. It was also compiled by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Shanghai Overseas Rescue Service Center (Shanghai Foreign Economic and Technical Exchange Center), but with an emphasis on other relevant RECP and CPTPP member countries, such as Canada, New Zealand, South Korea, Peru and Myanmar, and providing this crucial information in Chinese language.
A&Z Law Firm had the pleasure of jointly working with Muñiz, Olaya, Melendez, Castro, Ono & Herrera, Abogados Law Firm, on the Peru chapter of the “Compliance Guide for Foreign Investment Cooperation (2022)”.
This effort was led by Mr. Andrew Zhang, Senior Partner and Head of Logistics and Overseas Investment Department at A&Z Law Firm. Mr. Zhang has an extensive experience working with Chinese enterprises, who wish to invest in overseas countries.

In the interpretation of Peru's investment system, the chapter highlights Peru's foreign investment law and system, Peru's foreign investment regulatory authorities, the establishment of commercial enterprises in Peru, general types of foreign investment in Peru, and government protection of foreign investment.
The overall aim is to enable Chinese enterprises to better understand Peru's investment policy, while providing them with an important benchmark for improving the management of investment compliance.
